QUICK PDF READER & TOOLS

Privacy Policy

AT A GLANCE

Document reading and PDF processing take place on your device. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics process technical information for usage measurement and crash diagnosis. Sharing, system backup and this website can involve other providers.

1. Who we are

This policy explains how Quick PDF Reader & Tools (Quick PDF) and its official website handle information. The developer and privacy contact are listed below.

Developer: Qwen Apps

Privacy contact: qwenapps55@gmail.com

2. Documents and local information

The app reads files you select or allow it to discover, including document contents, names, locations, formats, sizes and modification times. It stores a local file index, favorites, recent-reading records, reading positions and preferences such as language and sort order.

Selected images, camera captures and PDF passwords are processed on your device for the requested action. Imported files are copied to the app's document folder. Temporary working copies may be cached while you create or read PDFs, including protected PDFs opened with your password.

We do not operate a document-upload service. Document contents and PDF passwords are not intended to be included in analytics events. Diagnostic reports can contain technical context from an error, as described below.

3. Permissions and device access

Files and storage
All files access, or storage permissions on older Android versions, allows the app to discover and manage supported documents. Renaming and deleting a file can change or remove the actual file. You can instead select individual files through Android's file picker; broader discovery requires storage access.
Camera and selected images
When you choose Scan PDF, the app opens your device's camera app to capture a page. Camera access is managed by that app and Android. Image selection uses Android's content-selection interface. The app does not use the camera for background monitoring.
Notifications
The app requests permission to display app notifications on Android versions that require it. You may decline or change this permission in Android settings.
Network and identifiers
Firebase uses network access to send technical and usage reports. Analytics may use an advertising identifier when available under device settings and the SDK configuration. The app does not request contacts, microphone or precise-location permission.

4. Firebase services

Google Analytics for Firebase
Processes app-instance identifiers, device and app information, language, sessions and app-interaction events to measure app use and improve the product. Google processes network information when receiving events and may derive a general region. This is separate from precise GPS location.
Firebase Crashlytics
Processes installation and session identifiers, device and app information, crash stack traces, exception messages and related technical context to diagnose failures and understand their impact. Reports may be stored temporarily on your device before transmission.

Google processes this information under its applicable terms. See Firebase privacy information and the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Sharing, this website and other services

When you share, export or open a file in another app, Android gives the selected recipient access needed for that action. A cloud-backed file provider, camera app or recipient handles information under its own policy. We may disclose information we hold when required by law or necessary to protect people and legal rights.

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes request information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser details and request times to deliver and secure the site. Hosting security features may use cookies. The website does not embed usage-analytics scripts, create user accounts or provide a document-upload form. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

If you contact support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to answer your request. Our service providers may process information outside your country under their applicable data-protection terms and safeguards.

6. Storage, backup and deletion

Imported copies and generated PDFs normally stay in the app-specific document folder until removed. Clearing storage or uninstalling can remove app-managed files and preferences. Export important files first. Original files outside app storage, exported copies, shared files and provider backups may remain until you delete them separately.

Android backup and device transfer are enabled. Depending on your device, settings and system rules, eligible preferences, file metadata and documents in app-specific storage may be backed up or transferred. Manage this through Android or your backup provider. Local document processing does not exclude system backup.

Analytics and crash reports follow the relevant service settings and retention schedules. We retain reports and support correspondence as needed to understand app use, investigate failures, respond to requests and meet legal obligations. Clearing local data does not automatically delete reports already transmitted. Contact us to request deletion of information we hold; files stored only on your device must be managed on that device.

7. Your choices and rights

You can manage Android permissions, choose files to open or share, delete local files, clear app storage, and control system backups and advertising identifiers through your device settings.

Where applicable, processing relies on consent, providing requested functionality, legitimate interests in maintaining and improving the service, or legal obligations. Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability; object to processing; withdraw consent; or complain to your data-protection authority. Use the privacy contact below. We may need enough information to verify and locate a request. The app does not require an account.

8. Security and children

We use Android storage and access controls, and Firebase encrypts reports in transit. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device and consider recipients before sharing files.

Quick PDF is a general-purpose document utility and is not specifically directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it under applicable law.

9. Updates and contact

We publish changes on this page with a revised date and provide additional notice when required by law. For support or privacy requests, contact the developer below.
